(non-diabetic) does this ring any bells?

Hey guys, so for a few years I've been super thirsty, tired, failing to gain weight, abdominal pains and some other random things.

Over the past 2 weeks or so I've been waking up pale, shakey, nauseous, pale and super thirsty without any idea why really and after some research it struck me that it could be my blood sugar(I would drink a bottle of lucozade sport, eat a apple, go back to sleep and that would fix up for the most part) . I decided to eat some cookies and strawberrys before bed. I've done that the past 2 nights now and have woke up feeling.....well not shaking and dehydrated which is nice haha.

So since I can't get a dr's appointment right away I thought I'd cure a little of my curiosity by asking you guys
Does this sound familiar or am I barking up the wrong tree.

Cheers

Well those are the classic symptoms of it but it could also be other things best just to wait for the doctors to tell you

I had similar symptoms prior to diagnosis, yet for you it might not be diabetes. Fingers crossed!

an un-diagnosed diabetic wouldn't normally gain relief from taking on more glucose....

so it doesnt sound like it will be, but get along to the doctors for piece of mind..

Fingers crossed for you that it isn't the big D.

Hi eternal123 i agree just wait until you see you're doctor and if you have got diabetes just stay on the forum i sure everyone will give you support on your journey to finding out what diabetes is all about and also attend all your appointments good luck with everything.

Hi and welcome,

As others have said, all you can do is wait for your GP appointment. Fingers crossed he can sort you out.
