non invasive blood glucose monitoring

Can anybody tell me if a non invasive blood glucose monitor is available? I have a 9 year old son who has type 1 diabetes. He was diagnosed 14 months ago.

Not quite sure how you could check Blood sugars without getting some blood .. maybe one of the more technical folk can suggest a way.

The technology exists but I am not aware of any current products that offer non-invasive monitoring. In any case, you would still need to test to calibrate the device. Further, the manufactures explicitly state the such products are used in conjunction with, and not instead of, regular fingerstick testing.
