I still believe that smart insulin could change the world. SIAA II was the stuff that I wanted. Supramolecular Insulin Assembly. It was supposed to encapsulate insulin in a shell that would only break open for high blood sugar, which is exactly when it’s needed. For no- or low blood sugar, it would remain encapsulated and inactive.

With that, the only testing loop needed would be to determine if you ran out of smart insulin. Nothing else would be needed.

I think it would be a game changer. But it’s not on the market yet.
