I have gone to the DR a few times for follow ups after my fasting blood sugar was 244 and A1C 11. (I'm in the US), and after cutting carbs my sugar was down to about 80 when checking in the evening and when the DR did blood tests a few times (both in the evening) I would notice when I checked at home it was a little higher in the morning. Maybe about 115 and after exercise about 140 (I would think it would go down after exercise and not eating yet). I've lost 20 lbs and had my fasting blood sugar taken (about 3 months after diagnosis) and it was 175....the DR didn't seem concerned since it's it's usually between 80 and 130....and it was lower than what it was 3 months ago. I had only had a salad for dinner the night before and I didn't exercise before the blood test since it seems to raise my sugar in the morning. Any reason for it to be higher? I know it isn't crazy high but still not a good number.
