i dont like rude people.
hi there i posted a few weeks ago saying how worried i was with having to start the byetta injections. well it is now only one more week to go and i must say after reading a lot of posts i am not so worried now as im sure i will be fine. The 9th of july was like doomsday for me, but now im seeing it as a more postive date, it will be the date that i may actually be able to control things better. if it does what it says on the weightloss front then hopefully this will help my other condtion (polycystic ovary syndrome) as well as the diabetes and then my dream of becoming a mum will not be too far away. they say the reason for so many misscarriages is due to me having pcos which i was diagnosed with at 15 and the fact i am diabetic and it was uncontrolled didnt help either. i have been on metformin since the 5th of june and apart from the odd bad tummy its been okay. so i am going to have the same postive outlook on the byetta. i shall be posting again soon to let you know how i got on at my appoinment on the 9th and to tell you if i cryed or not when i saw the needle lol  apologies for the rambling lol :)

Hi Bexie,
I don't mind sharing my experiences at all. When I started on byetta 11 months ago my weight was 97.6 kilos. I am now 88.1kg, so have lost around 20lbs. This has been in fits and starts - I have found (as do many others on byetta) that the weight comes down steadily, then seems to stand still for a month or so, then starts to drop again, then stops again, and so on.

In achieving this I haven't been dieting in terms of eating less but I have switched to low-carb over the last 6 months. The switch didn't have any great impact on the weight loss - that just continued to progress steadily, and is still continuing.

Bexie im the same as dennis , it comes off then static for a while then some more comes off. Same with food intake Lo Carb.
