Hi
Five months T2 jogging along pretty ok, last two weeks struggled beyond belief. Feels like im rebelling but against what?? Totally rebel without a cause!!! Ive been eating more carbs, found lots of excuses not to exercise. Anyone got a big boot to aim at my behind???:banghead:

I can only speak for myself, but I know at diagnosis I was frightened to eat practically anything and was extremely strict with my diet and exercise. But I could only keep it up at that level for so long and then had a bit of a blip. However, by keeping in touch with this forum it reconnected me with what I knew I should be doing and so now I take it day by day always striving to do the best I can. I think we all know that we can't fool ourselves but I also think a lot of us have the odd bad day/week (Or maybe it's just me!). Just remember you are not alone and that this condition is for life, so if you do fall off the wagon, don't beat yourself up, just dust yourself down and get on it again. By the way, Spring is definitely in the air so it's a good time to feel positive. Best of luck

Why would we?

Think you have just done that yourself. 75% of the battle

As a T1 I find the routine of test, inject, test, inject, test, inject can soon turn from a habit into a chore depending on my state of mind. We've also just come out of coldest, darkest months and I think that we are all affected by SAD to a greater or lesser extent. Maybe the onset of spring will lift your spirits a little?

Think of it more like a holiday from diabetes. Just don't take a gap year! (Unless of course you really don't care, which I don't believe or you wouldn't be here.)
