Hi all,

Was diagnosed with Type 2 a few years ago. Sugars were very high with all the expected symptoms at the time.

When i was diagnosed i was very diligent about taking insulin and metformin as directed.

However, eventually, with or without meds my blood sugars were at a baseline level for diabetes so i fell out of the habit of taking it insulin and metformin altogether.

Had no issues, symptoms or anything til quite recently where the regular "urge to drink loads of water" and regular trips to the toilet started to return. So i have started taking my insulin again.

Thing is, i've been feeling incredibly lethargic for some time - some related to vit d levels but when resolved i still felt foggy and not very dynamic.

Is it a known symptom of diabetes and lacking insulin (even if bloods are fine) for it to have these effects?

Is early days but feel a bit more alert now and wonder if its linked or purely coincidental?
