Scary! I hate long hypos!
Are you allowed to take your pump off over night? (Allowed?!) I didn't know what words to use!
Hope you know what I mean!

Why did you aler your basal before tea? You went low pre bed, so your basal changes on a pump should be 2-3 hours before the low...
If it was 2-3 hours after your meal then it's the bolus that needs to be changed.
I know you said that you took pump off, but didn't you wake up during the night to test yourself? Your insulin on a pump, no matter what runs out at 5 hours.. Depending how sensitive you are to insulin, this could be an 11/2hr either way, but if you are having a sustained hypo and over dosing on glucose you should never go to sleep without waking yourself up throughout it.
A pump runs very differently to basal bolus injections.. My pump instructions give me an hour off it before having to re attach, what you did was not good and you need to wake yourself up in future
