Sorry guys just here to have a moan. I've not been well for the last couple of weeks feeling really rough like i've got the flu, weak and very tired all the time. I went away last week and before i did i got a course of antibiotics off my GP which didn't seem to have that much effect. I'm seeing the specialist next week at the hospital so i'll ask him what he thinks it might be, I don't like seeing my GP as he's not very good. I do seem to be plagued with recurrent viruses for some strange reason so i'm wondering if it might be one of those again.

Anyway sorry for moaning but as i said i just feel really rough lately and thanks for listening !!

have u had a thyroid check recently as i was like that b4 diagnosis of an underactive thyroid(just a thought).
 
Sorry you feel rotten. Its bad enough worrying about diabetes without feeling under par with no explanation

Re tests- consider getting them to check iron/b12 levels along with thyroid. Maybe also urine, check whether there is low grade infection showing up that might be asymptomatic? I've not felt flu-y but have similar probs and consultant says they tend to check for other autoimmune diseases in people with dx.

If GP thinks you are viral - dont know why you are getting antibiotics - they wont work on a virus.

Hope you are soon feeling better. Just remember that when we are unwell it often plays havoc with our BS levels, so keep a closer than usual check on BS while this lasts.
