Please, please, can someone help me!

If you had to attend a 'team brief' would you be required to wear your work uniform? This whole issue has been causing me great stress over the weekend...and thus high BS!

I recently started a new job and it involves working alone all day, every day. However, apparently we have these 'team briefs' now and again. I just found out we have one tomorrow. Its a long way from home and I've nobody to ask re. wearing my uniform. I'm guessing I probably have to. What does anyone else think?!

Mmm difficult one.The only thing I can think of is ,wear the uniform. If you don't need to you will know the next time and just laugh it off .Probably better than being the only one there not in uniform.

Wear your uniform and pack your jeans and a tee shirt. If everyone else is Smart-casual, you'll shame them and if ultr casual, you can change. Better to be too businesslike than not enough.

Well I just asked a few people around here with me at the moment and it was suggested that as it is a long way to travel for you to get to this meeting, you could take your uniform with you and if you have to you can get changed at the venue? This way you are safe and you wont make an a$s of yourself as one of my friends here has done, in the same situation as you are today, he ended up the only one turning up wearing his uniform, the rest just ordinary clothing and to this day they are pulling his leg re wearing fancy dress and all that.
Dont stress out, its not good for you, hope all goes well.

Popps, yes high stress levels can affect your bg levels, just like any illness/cold/flu/fever/periods can affect bg.

All the best

I was just thinking......maybe, if I arrive earlier than expected, I can spy on the others to see what they're wearing...then change in the car, if necessary! The only problem with that, is that I've never laid eyes on the rest of the team!

Oh well, I'll go for wearing the uniform.....

Does stress cause high BS levels?

a recent example I have of this was when I sat my first exam since diagnosis last week. I was 7.2 when I had breakfast - the usual breakfast and insulin given - 2 hours later and just before the exam I was 15.9 - 2 hours later and half way through I was allowed to go and test - I was 8. and after the exam 2 hours on again and I was 5.6. And there I was worried before the day that I was going to go Hypo during the exam!

Re the Uniform I agree wear it but have a back up with you. Better to have shown the effort than not.
