Hi Vix!

Does he seem well in himself? have you noticed any other changes in his drinking/peeing or energy levels?

We can't tell you what it is. If you don't know what's causing it, go to the doctors. he can have a test for diabetes. if he does have it, you need to know.

Any concerns of this nature should be brought to the attention of his GP, if it is diabetes then the earlier it is caught the better it is for the well-being of the child.

he does pee alot and drink loadz and loadz i have been in contact with my doctor and waiting for a call as we speak but just woundered if anyone else that has a child with it has noticed it

I'm glad the doctor is going to get back to you! Hopefully it's nothing but the earlier Diabetes is spotted and treated-the better.

Hope the little fella gets on ok!

All the best

Paul

A friend of my mother's noticed it on me after I had been unwell and bedridden for 2 weeks. The smell on the breath is of pear drops or acetone (nail polish remover).

I hope everything turns out OK for your son.
