notifying DVLA of type 1 diabetes

I have had type 1 diabetes since 2008 and shortly after my diagnosis I passed my driving test. I thought I had informed the DVLA of my condition but it appears I had not. I am in the process of filling in the DIAB1 form for a 3 year license but I am worried about not having correctly informed the DVLA prior to this. Will I get fined?
 
Impossible to say @jasaona12345, but your doing the right thing informing them now. Good luck.

I doubt it very much, but technically you have been driving with an invalid licence and no insurance.
