Been doing great with change of lifestyle over the last 5 years and built up to 30 mile daily bike rides with no problems. Then got a lump in my neck and the chemo has sapped all my energy and struggling to bike 2 miles. No Cancer in the family so I was wondering if there could be any connection between Type 2 and chances of Cancers

Co-morbidity is something rarely addressed, yet so common particularly as we get older. I have a myeloprolific disorder and type 2 diabetes. I inject interferon so keen to avoid other drugs. I don't know of any connections, yet. I think we've just drawn a few short straws. Cancer and chemo are debilitating and stressful. Doing 2 miles sounds great to me.
