Sorry I'm new here but was diagnosed as prediabetes last year after having chemo for breast cancer and then last month my liver enzymes were raised and my letrozole was stopped until after an MRI scan that showed NAFLD fatty liver and then my hb1c was 55 so I have started on Metformin one daily and have been monitoring my levels that have been ok ish now that I'm monitoring them and being more careful about my diet
But my question is do you think the liver issue is the cause of the diabetes and how does Metformin affect letrozole please

Seems there is no problem between Metformin and Letrozole.

Hi @NFT and welcome to the forum.
NAFLD is usually caused by the same things as Type 2 diabetes: Insulin resistance and eating too many carbohydrates (starches as well as sugars).
Many people in this forum have reversed T2 Diabetes (and NAFLD if they had it) by monitoring their Blood Glucose and cutting back on Carbs so they get at most a 2mmol spike from just before a meal to another teest 2hrs after 1st bite.
