Numb face

Hi all,

I know this may be a strange question. But I have been T2 for 7 years now and have just started on a low carb diet on Monday and for the past few days have been getting a numb lip and face in the afternoons/evenings.

I have checked my bloods and they are around 6, so are fine.

Has anybody else has this. Not going beck to my nurse until the 17 and am abit worried.
 
Hi Catherine and welcome to the forum.

There are many reasons for numbness and it is best to see your G.P. as nobody here is qualified to diagnose. Not everything we experience is diabetes related.
 
I second what @catherinecherub says.
In your situation I would ring the surgery and see if you can get your appointment moved up.

Let us know when you have a diagnosis?
 
Hi. I get this too occasionally just on one side. Have done for about 4 years. It's not exactly numb as if I pinch or scratch it I can feel it. It's more like I've had an injection at the dentist. Is this what you feel.
