Hiya all
This is my first thread so if I've put it in the wrong cat. Then sorry!
I'm not a great Controller of my Diabetes. Never have been in the 25 odd years of being type 1. And I'm fully aware that it's all gonna catch up with me sooner rather than later.
My problem is Numbness in my Feet and shins. I know it's poor circulation, but was wondering if there is anything I can do to ease it a bit as it's keeping me awake at night a bit now. I'm fairly active and walk quite Alot with the dog etc.
Any advice mucho appreciated .... Please don't nag at me tho! Lol!
Kev

Hi Kev, Have you been officially diagnosed with poor circulation by a healthcare professional? and if so what medication or advice have you been given?............if not, then its best to go and see you GP or DSN asap.. And better control and good diabetes management is the best way forward to avoid diabetes complications.

Good luck and please look after your self,

hi kev,
Might sound a bit daft, but make sure you always wear good size shoes for all occasions, might also be a good idea to get your doctor to arrange for you see a podiatrist in the view of making sure that you know what is best for your feet, after all those feet have a lot of work to do.

Get it checked and see what they say then throw the info up here. Lot folks have varying degrees of numbness but if you have a base line to work off l am sure some one will habe something useful

Thanks to you all for your replies so far.... Looks like I'm going to have to see someone again about it. I will put up what the outcome was ASAP for all to see!!!
