The thiamine is just a generic available from our health system in my country. nothing special. The benfotamine is doctors best brand, 300mg. It is the only one I could get hold of. - can cause bad acid reflux or indigestion though! The symptoms you are experiencing are potentially not unusual. Though obviously worth talking to a doctor about. I lose most ( not quite all) feeling in parts of my face, nose etc when my b1 is low and some of my facial muscles don't work as well, (eg my smile), but when I take a large dose to correct it, i get a tingly itchy nose, and then face. For me it is a sign that things are coming back online. It does resolve after a few hours. Also my heart rate and blood pressure do change when I have b1 on board and when I am low. My hands and feet are white and my circulation is not good when I am low. B1 and its deficiency definitely affects the cardiovascular system as well. Have a look online at 'wet beri beri.' B1 is used in muscle contraction - and the heart is a muscle. after a top up My feet and hands pink up, so I assume that my circulation has improves. This may explain your symptoms, but again - best to discuss with a doctor. Although good luck finding one who understands B1! Hope this helps!
