Hi,
I am newly diagnosed and this is my second post on the forum (thanks for the very helpful answers to my first post).
When diagnosed last month I had noticed a lot of tingling sensation in my arms and feet. Since then my bgs have been very well controlled with metformin, diet and exercise. I no longer have symptoms like thirst or excessive urination and the tingling is mostly gone. However, I do get a feeling of numbness in my hands and feet, particularly left when I lie down. The feeling disappears if I move them slightly but returns when I lie still. I find myself waking up several times in the night because of this. Any thoughts on what might be causing these and if these symptoms can also go away with good control?
Secondly, I get a burning sensation/inflammation at the base of my rib cage when I swallow food. I have probably had this for a while but post diagnosis I am noticing everything much more. In any case, is this linked to diabetes or my meds(metformin, sitagliptin, ramipril)?
Thanks a lot in advance,
Kaneabel
