I have been told that if my levels do not drop over the next few weeks the nurse will stop my novaRapid injections and give me a fast acting tablet unsure of name but think it has some thing to do with Gliclazide has anyone tried these tablets and what was the side effects?

Hi @Patsy B ,

Sorry to read you are having issues with management.

Are you also prescribed a basal insulin? (Long acting.)

yes Treseba at night which works fine she wants me to up the Insulin to get the readings lower in the day

What sort of numbers are you seeing during the day?

Hopefully someone can comment on the glic..?

I have the numbers down now as watching what I eat .... so hope I not need to swap

The Glic tabs not last long as my readings were high after eating so am back in the NovaRapid but the Nurse is on about me having a sensor fitted to my arm not sure when that will develop though.

Had a sensor fitted which fell off two days later I sent for another and had it delivered which I put on and so far touch wood and anything else that might keep it on it has stayed on.... laughs
