i rang my surgary, spoke to my gp as the diabetic nurse is on holiday for two weeks
gp has made an appointment for the 20th august to have a glucose blood test, to be weighed and have blood pressure taken
gp did say if i begin to feel ill before the 20th, then to ring to see him
 
That's a more positive thing then, Ally. Your GP is a better bet than your nurse at this stage, I believe.
 
Well done Ally for making that appointment . You really need more help with your diet and control which your doctor should be able to give you. Good luck on the 20th x
 
Of course you don't feel well, your BG is very high...it sucks to wait 9 days

Do you have urine ketostrips to test for ketones?
If not you can get some from the chemist for 5 quid. I would go to A&E and get checked out properly for free and they will fix your BG while you're there
 
jack412, the nearest hospital is 3 bus rides away, if i don,t feel any better or get worse by thursday, then i will take a trip to a&e
 
hope you get help at the doctors , I have to wait until the 29th as my DN is on holiday too ( must be a common thing in August lol )
 
Has anyone heard from Ally? Not seen a post from her and hope all is ok?
 
According to her profile, Ally was last on here about 8:00 on Thursday morning. Hope things are OK Ally.
 
Curiously enough, I was wondering exactly the same thing this morning. I too hope all's well with her.

i was indeed in hospital until this morning
 
i really hope the BS test tomorrow shows a lower reading
