Nutribullet food liquidiser

3penny

Newbie
I have never been a fan of fruit and I know I don't eat a lot of vegetables. I have recently seen the nutribullet advertised, basically a smoothie maker for fruit or veg drinks and am considering buying it. My only problem is will I lose fibre, but apparently everything, even skin and fibre is broken down enough to go through a sieve. Does anyone have an opinion on this? Thanks.

Hi Im newly diagnosed and from the adverts on tv and on the box it looks like it would work well and includes the fibre. I have a juicer at home that takes whole fruit but it does not "mash" all the skins into the drink - so I think the bullet would be ideal. You could email them direct if you get the address off the box or site. Let me know and I might buy one of these aswell.

The breaking down of the fibre will result in a faster rise in bg levels, personally I wouldn't bother with liquidising them.

I thought so too.
But experience proved me wrong.

We got a high quality blitzing blender and I started making green smoothies - and found they have remarkably little impact on BG (when made properly - see the link in my signature).

I think the Nutribullet thing would be great - but I would always use a mix of fruit (40% and veg 60%) NEVER fruit by itself.

Interesting Brunneria, I would have though that breaking down the fibre would result in a bg spike.
