This 'difficult to adhere to' argument.

The same can apply to low fat, high sugar diets. Including the "eatwell plate".
Even without someone attempting to follow these seeing their finger prick/HBa1C tests going in the wrong direction.

I would happily have followed any advice that told me to eat wholemeal bread, pasta, rice, potatoes and gnocchi, I love it all and make wonderful bread, pasta and gnocchi.

I do however have a bg meter and test strips on prescription and I test frequently when there is something I want to know., like how does glass noodles affect bg? Answer is, seems quite all right short term but the unexpected rise at three and four hours makes them a no-no. As is bread, pasta, rice and you know, probably gnocchi too. Sad but what to do about it? Demand single doses of insulin for the few times you crave gnocchi?

I have no problems with a high fat diet. If I feel peckish at odd times it tells me I should eat more at meal time and I for the time being I will have piece of cheese or some nuts.

I eat a lot of fat though so I am rarely peckish.
