Odaema

Hi and welcome. I had oedema quite badly - fluid used to leak out through my tissue-paper skin, there were blisters, that sort of thing. Lower legs were thickened and I went up two shoe sizes minimum. My kidneys weren't really functioning. I was prescribed both furosemide and bumetanide, which did have some short-term effect but did nothing to resolve either the oedema or the underlying diabetes (which was still undiagnosed).

The only thing that had any impact for me was Gentle Grip socks which I'd recommend and more importantly getting my Bg levels back to normal. The oedema went pretty quickly - in a couple of months. I don't think I've had anything obvious for over five years now.
