Big thank you to all who give comfort & advice on this forum. Here's my Type 2 question for today:

Normally I have breakfast along the lines that others describe here and my test readings are around 5.2 (done before the dawn dump) and 5.3-5.6 two hours after the first bite. For breakfast today I thought I'd try a large fruit salad to see if the testing kit was paying attention. Whole banana, minneola (orangey thing) and v ripe pear, with whole fat yoghurt, seeds & nuts. And coffee with whole milk.

The result was 5.3 before, 6.1 after an hour but 4.5 after 2 hours. I tested again and got 4.6. It's never been below 5, ever. What's that all about, please?

that's about normal/good/you will probably see more/keep it up

It's very good but I believe mixing in the full fat yoghurt had a lot to do with keeping your BSLs down.

If you've been low carbing, then maybe this breakfast with a bit higher carbs than usual has caused a release of insulin that has then lowered your blood glucose, which would be normal and means your body has become better at regulating your blood glucose due to having been given a break for a while. But I could be wrong.
