Well we are three weeks into flying solo and what a difference some confidence makes. Bg is nice and steady at a mean average of 7.2 (which is absolute evidence we are still "low" dodging) but we get better all the time. Happy to report that Max's life is exactly as it was, just a little more organised than other kids. We use ionic colloidal silver gel on his fingers at night to rapidly heal them and so far so good - he doesn't look like a pin cushion anymore and we are down to 10 tests a day maximum.
I am getting sleep too finally which is a blessing and a joy. We may not be able to cure this thing, but it is manageable, hugely so, and my child is back to his happy bouncy self. That's all a mum could ask for really, a happy kid.
Sending much love to all from an overcast forest on the edge of the Indian Ocean in Africa.

That' good to hear Philly, hope Max continues with his good progress

I'm glad to hear max is doing great and being back to his usual self. My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 on Saturday and she's just back to how she usually is too after 1 week. She's doesn't like that she can have what she used to I.e sweets and sugar in her tea but to see her like this is fantastic for me to see as a parent. Our children deal with it so well and us parents just go into complete shock but she just puts a big smile on my face . It's so nice to hear from other parents and know we are not on our own. Ady xx

Hey Ady, welcome to the ranks of new parents. Wow you seem to be bouncing through so fast and so well. Our kids amaze us dont they? Max is just blossoming and i mean really blossoming. Maybe i was just too preoccupied with other less important stuff in life BD (before diabetes) to have really recognised both my kids for the incredible creatures they are. T1 has sure opened up all our eyes and our hearts. We have been forced to embrace a new way of living and loving.
Much love
Philly
