So my son is on a pump (since August) today is the day we needed to change his cannula, he was running high just before I did this so I put it down to the cannula being old.

I change the cannula and test an hr later he's coming down verrrrry slowly ...so we opt for an injection and change the whole set. He comes down. He has dinner and low and behold two hrs later he,s high again! So I am harassing my poor son "are you feeling alright?" "Did you forget to bolus for a snack." So on so on.... So I think I need another cannula change something is not right!
Then my lovely son says "mum, did you fill the cannula with insulin?" OMG! How can I forget this twice!

What a rubbish mum! :(

Don't worry, your not a rubbish mum at all because you forgot to fiill the canula, I forgot to do the same a while back as i'm sure many other pumpers have. Your a very good mum as you continued to monitor levels, change sets, trying to correct. Don't think a rubbish mum would of been checking things, at least you found out why and corrected. Nice one :)
