Michael Gove and his insane educational? policies!
Since I have been diagnosed diabetic, I have been given a bottle of wine, a Mother's Day choccie lolly on mothers day in town and my hubbie got given a box of my fave Thorntons choccies! Oh the irony of it all. My hubbie, in a bid to persuade me from indulging has adapted the old adage: a moment on the lips, amputation at the hip! Groan!

I have been very lucky. My kids bought me a silicon mould for making heart shaped fried eggs. Very LCHF friendly!

Typical, Scandichic. Bloomin' typical:rolleyes: :playful:

O' how we love our friends and family for understanding the nature of the beast. LOL

Hope you didn't cave in to the temptation,.......yield not to temptation and all that. :D

Actually, that would be a good motto for us all.

I believe it's a well known phenomenon Scandi, that as soon as we contract a condition be it diabetes or a new eating regime that all manner of stuff we can't touch lands on our doorsteps! A morning tea shout at work, a birthday of a family member or whatever and although a lot do understand there will always be one who says stuff along the lines of 'Oh go on, one won't hurt you'! Yes it will!

Love that chewed up saying though and at least your hubby is trying :D

He thought it was hilarious! Small things..... And all that! Another saying for you! The best thing was we were going to La Tasca. Tapas are great........except for Mothers Day! Set menu and could only eat 2 out of the ones on offer. Waitress said sorry but this is the menu for today. I asked to speak to the manager and I was able to choose what I wanted. Chose 2 from menu but it meant that I had to pay for the glass of "free" cava which was included in the price. :(

My sister won a huge box of thorntons in a raffle. They've been sitting on my dining room table for a week so I've stopped eating in there. Also it was her birthday last week and she asked for Easter eggs from her friends that she hasn't touched yet. Chocolate always tasted better when it's egg shaped...

My fave foods were pizza and risotto! Last time I tried to eat boiled rice I was really ill for hours. :( I try not to think about them too much. On the upside Lidl do a 70% dark choccie from Equador and I have a square with a cup of coffee. I nibble a corner and suck it. Then I have a mouthful of coffee. I repeat this process until the square is no more. I gave the Thorntons to my daughters and friends but they've only eaten a few of them! Still got box in cupboard. Every time I walk past the cupboard, I can here it's seductive chocolatey voice shouting eat me!

Ive just won two Reeces hampers on FB, Mum has just become Vegan so she cant eat them and the other half is in China for two months. Think amputation from the neck down might be needed!!

reeces - as in peanut butter cups etc? Oh heck! Take them into work, leave them in a room you don't go in and tell the gannets to go for it? Anyone got a birthday coming up?
