Hey John.
Don't beat yourself up and try not to stress about it, it will only raise your levels.
Mmmm, have you been prescribed all that medication recently to take every day?
I was on Gliclazides to start with for 6 months, then they stopped working, as well as Simvastatin for cholesterol. Now just on Metaformin 500mg with every meal, 3x daily. My levels aren't perfect but are coming into range slowly. (7,7-8.5 on a regular basis). A mass improvement from when I was first diagnosed.
If the medication isn't working ie the tablets, you doctor can prescribe insulin to control your levels better. My doctor has mentioned this to me before, if I don't get my levels under control. So it's not uncommon.
By coming off your medication and just on a diet probably hasn't worked, and you possibly had to start again.
But at a guess as I mentioned before it could be; your body reacting to something, a balanced diet versus work out regime, reevaluate medication?
Just be honest with your doctor and nurses with all and any information so they can find the correct formula and approach to help you out.
If was a betting man I would say it's medication and diet (probably more calorie intake). But I'm no expert.
Hope all goes well and you get the advice you need to nail the problem. Hang on in there and good luck.
