it's yet another birthday at work, and this time the birthday boy has brought in lots of packets of the mini cakes, ( cookies, browines, flapjacks, caramel squares) and i know just having one of these should be classed as a treat but i keep going back and having more. I have no will power today i've not been this bad since before i was diagnosed. I just cant stop myself.
Roll on five o clock so i can go home.

Pleased I don't have a sweet tooth!

I thought posting on here would make me feel so guilty I'd stop going back for more. It didn't work I still went back for a last piece before I left work.

Oh well... none left for tomorrow... and tomorrow is another day :D Don't be too hard on yourself... in this case I'd suggest that it's what we do most of the time that matters in the long term.

Problem Pianoman, there are still some left for tomorrow, I'm just going to have to be strong

What can you snack on instead? Nuts, cold meats, boiled eggs, pork scratchings or even (my preferred) very dark chocolate... 80% cocoa or higher.. I find that letting a piece of that melt in my mouth (don't bite it or it may taste chalky and bitter) eases away any cravings. Good luck. Or you could ask that these snack-cakes be put away somewhere else?

Im normally ok pianoman, if I do have something I'll have a small peice of whatever has been brought in and that's it's, but today I just couldn't stop it was like I was watching someone else. I'll be fine tomorrow
