(Am currently on lidls best)

What are you using it for? As a dressing I like it with a splash of acv and salt. For cooking I tend to use ghee (or butter)

Currently tracking to try to lose a few pounds. My fat ratio is way down so I'm trying adding olive oil to veg, like a dressing. I'm off dairy currently and this seems the only good fat that could raise my fats without raising bg.

Do you like any of the nut oils? I had a bottle of hazelnut oil and I absolutely loved the flavour! (Loved it so much that I used it sparingly enough as to not run out to find three quarters of the bottle had gone rancid after a very long time. I'm an idiot.)

You could infuse it with herbs or spices, or make mayo.

The drinks gizmo I suggested a week or 2 ago, also infused oils in the same 10 minute time frame. I must say for our chilli oil, I prefer the traditional method of making, but it does have to be on a day the kitchen can be well ventilated!

Is it a dairy intolerance or quest to avoid overeating dairy?

When I last had a stab at quitting dairy I found the concept of ‘bingeable’ dairy useful and didn’t include butter for cooking or adding to a dish in that.

Lidl also do an avocado oil.

Buttery peas a delicious. Butter makes everything delicious. Stir butter into sauce and soup and it adds texture that enhances the flavour.
You could also try adding vinegar to the oil. There are several types of vinegar like apple cider and red wine which have other health benefits. Vinegar usually dominates the taste.

Just short term to lose a few pounds. Am finding I still use butter for cooking and a little yoghurt
It's cheese, cream that and nuts I'm trying to control, and am tracking

Ah. I like extra virgin, including Lidl's EV olive oil, so maybe my recommendations wouldn't work for you. I find that the extra virgin ones have most flavour. At the other end of the scale the olive oils that are steamed out of the pulp are firstly bland and flavourless (IMO) and are possible chemically affected by the production process.

I have cut right down on milk even lactose free milk, I limit cream and I do not eat cheese, no nuts and do not have any yogurts as they were impacting on my bg. Only have a dash of cream in my decaf coffee together with unsweetened almond milk. Think I am nearing dairy intolerant, although I can have butter but no more than 3 eggs a week or I suffer with sickness, dry skin seborrheic dermatitis and other stuff. I have started to get back to 10 stone 7 since I have cut down so happy with that. As for my cholesterol, no idea as I have not had a follow up yet to be tested.
