I tried and failed to get some Olympics tickets in the first and second releases, but have had the email to say that there are some (but not many) events available this week - with today being the last day.
So we checked with the kids, 3 of whom are at university now, whether they would/could come if we were successful.
3 out of 4 are definitely keen, so we went on to the site this evening and looked for events in the Olympic park. There aren't many but we though Basketball might be fun as it's in one of the main arenas and it's a couple of hours for a session (on other sports they chuck you out after 45 minutes).

So having found a day when we could all go and found one with £30 tickets I go to book.. and it's a maximum of 4 tickets when I need at least 5. We can't be the only parents in this situation.

We've given up now - it just seemed to be an opportunity to do something as a family just as the tadpoles are swimming off to their own ponds. It just doesn't feel like an Olympics for people in general.
