Was just wondering if any omnipod users had any advice about swimming with the pod on.
I went swimming with my little boy yesterday afternoon, I had changed the pod at lunch time because it was time. I put a -50% temp basal on s swimming with my little boy is a strenuous as I full on swimming session! Ha! Anyway we were in for about an hour and a half, when I came to get changed I noticed that the cannula (that was in my stomach) had come out. Anyway I tested my blood and it was 4.4mmol so it was fine. So I guessed it must have just come out. I had a little lucazade (as didn't want to drive at that level) and came home (only live about 10 mins from the pool) I had a shower and out another pod on (didn't feel clean after being in the water to it it there and as sugars were ok I came home)
Is there any way I can make sure this doesn't happen again? And tricks or anything I can use? It was on my stomach under my costume so I thought it would have been fine? X
