I've been a Type 1 diabetic for 48 years now and have seen many changes. At the moment I have a FreeStyle Libre 2 which has been a total game changer. If you haven't got one get one !!
I have just found out about the Omnipod Dash which sounds great and the type of thing that I would like to use. I have been told by my Consultant/ Diabetic Nurse that I would need to go o a pump trial for 1 year before one would be available on the NHS .......... Is this standard policy for the NHS.
I went to a demo at clinic and decided that the pump wasn't for me.
How do I go about getting one through the NHS with out wasting a year for something I don't want ??
Any advise would be welcomed.
