Just asking if there is anything I could have done differently here.
I am on Omnipod 5 with Libre 2+ for about 6 months. Prior to that I was on Libre and Dash for many years. I have often found when I put a new Libre sensor on it reads low for the first 24 hours or so, then beds in and is ok.
Last night my Libre2+ sensor went wrong a few days early so I changed it. After the warm up it was showing as 4.5 but a fingerprick was 7.7. I assumed this one would need a bit of time and went to bed.
Unfortunately my BG came down a bit and the sensor believed I was going hypo so started alarming. I switched off the alarms on the handset but the pod itself was issuing the urgent alarm - fingerprick was always 6+. I couldn’t sleep due to the constant beeping so I ended up eating to bring my BG up.
Now this morning I feel rubbish because I have not slept half the night for beeping and then had high BG for the rest of the night. Sensor is now 1 point lower than blood but I can live with that.
I take it there is no way to temporarily snooze alarms if you know them to be false? Should I just never change sensors in the evening? Does Manual mode ignore the sensor input and not beep? Any suggestions welcome.
