Hi shell my 9 yr old wears hers on her thigh or hip as her tummy is too lean it works out really well and is very discreet. She is able to wear with all her school uniform easily except the pinafore takes a little more planning. Where does she inject?

Re: Omnipod on arm

I think the bum is best but if your daughter is only willing to have a pump if she is able to insert the set in her arm, then so be it. If she finds that the insertion is painful, then she might then be willing to have a go using another area. You never know unless you go .......

Yeah, you hit a vein not your muscle ( the muscles are really deep ). Sometimes the bleeding and pain stops a few minutes afterwards but since it didn't for a few hours and you're still getting blood two days later, you might want to change sites. There should be a 1-800 number with the Omnipod where you can speak with a nurse about it during the work day, maybe it's on the back of the PDM, it'll be on their website if you can't find it on your Omnipod.
