After 9 months, Finally I got approved for a patch pump.
I will be starting on the pump in 2 weeks time.
Any advice for a new starter?
Is wearing the patch easy and comfortble?

Whats the easiest and best way to work your basal out?

Thanks

don't know much about patch pump but to sort our basal on a pump is very hard work and hungry work too. You should have a guide when you get your pump with the day and night split into seconds so all 24 hours are covered. It will state when to have foods and when to start the basal test. By checking bloods every hour you will eventually get a 24 hour basal profile. The hard part is starting again when u have had to stop the test due to a high, low guess how much to adjust basal for same time on a different day. Well worth doing on a pump but alot of testing , adjusting to start.
