My 9 year old daughter was diagnosed with type 1 four years ago. She averages 7.5 on her HbA1c and is good but wont do her own injections. In 2014 she is due to move to middle school and she is wanting some independence now but this is difficult when she needs me. Her hormones are just kicking in and her bloods are a bit like a rollercoaster. We have discussed a length with her consultant about going on a pump. She doesn't want the 'lead' as she calls it so a omnipod has been suggested. Ive never heard of them so interested in peoples experience.
