Omnipod question - 72 hours

I've been Omnipodding for a couple of weeks now, and I'm noticing a slightly weird pattern.

The pods are great and do exactly what I want them to up until lunchtime on day 3 (they're supposed to last 3 days or 72 hours) when they seem to stop delivering insulin completely (though with no warning - they still think they are working) - about five hours before they are supposed to stop.

There is still plenty of insulin and I can her the usual clicks, like it is delivering it to me, but my blood glucose rises alarmingly and repeated "bolussing" with the PDM doesn't help, which makes me think that it's not getting through somehow.

Has anyone else had this? If it were a one off, I would assume there was some kind of blockage or similar, but this is the third time now, and I'm not sure that I didn't change the other one or two (non failing) pods a wee bit early for other reasons, so it appears to be an actual pattern.

I don't think it would be a big problem if it was (other than having to change pods at weird times rather than always, eg, evenings) - am just wondering really!

Doesn't sound right, there's an 8 hour grace period with the pods so you should be able to go over 72 hours, the fact that they have stopped delivering insulin is cause for concern, ring the Ypsomed helpline and mention this to them, the number is on the back of the PDM.

I've not had this issue although I have had a couple of faulty pods, but when you ring them they send out replacements.
