Thanks for your reply. I have done some research there are pros and cons appreciate not for everyone. Its a big learning curve but if I don't try I will never know.

The reason for my comment was to highlight that pumps work very differently to injections in that there is only one type of insulin (fast acting) rather than two. Your question makes little sense with this in mind.
As I mentioned previously, the fast acting is taken throughout the day as your basal which gives you the chance to adjust your basal at different times of the day. This is great once your daily basal profile is worked out but can be a huge pain to get to this stage.
I understand why you are asking about Omnipod - the benefit of not having a tube must sound fantastic.
Unfortunately, the Omnipod is one of the most expensive pumps available. For this reason it is not available in some areas.
If you are in the UK, it is a good idea to check what is available in your area.
If you are in the US, it is a good idea to check what your insurance covers.
I don't know about other countries but it is definitely worthwhile checking what is on offer before getting your hopes up.
