Hello, I'm new to this Forum so dont know if this subject has come up before. I have Type 2 Diabetes which I have had for about 15 years. At present it is controlled ( or not ) by triple drug therapy ( tablets ). As this control is getting more difficult I feel sure that the next step may well be some sort of injection, which I am not looking forward to. I have heard of the Xzenatide once weekly injection in conjunction with Metformin but dont know if it would be suitable for me or even if I would be able to get it. I would appreciate any views or info. Thanks.

Before you step off into the unknown, perhaps you can give us an idea of what you are eating and maybe give you some suggestions of what to eat to get your levels down.

I try to not to eat anything that I know contains sugar, I eat plenty of fruit and veg, very little meat , virtually no sweets or chocolate. Dont like chicken but do eat turkey and fish. Any thing that I do eat that has been fried is always dry fried in a special pan that I bought. Dont drink fizzy drinks and any hot drinks that I have I use Splenda sugar alternative ( the wife also uses this in any baking. The only biscuits that I eat are Malted Milk. I do have some so called " Diabetic Foods " such as ice cream. Love eggs. Eat a fair amount of sea food and shellfish.
