Non-insulin injectable medication (incretin mimetics)
And your on metformin can you eat what you like without restrictions?

I'm a little confused because your information says you are T1 but your question is something a T2 would ask.
So, if you are type1 - yes eat whatever you want as long as you take the correct amount of insulin to cover it

If you are type 2- no, you are not cured, if you go back to your previous diet you'll be back where you started

@Talya2022 - please can you adjust your info, I noticed on a previous thread that you said you are T2 but as others have said your information under your name says different, it can cause confusion and the wrong advice given which may confuse you or even be dangerous.

As a T2, short answer is no, metformin doesn’t do much to control BG, it’s good for stopping your liver dumping glucose for times such as your morning fasting levels. Your best medicine is your diet, all carbs turn to sugar so the less carbs you eat the better. It’s your diet that got you to your target Hba1c and your diet that will maintain it. Well done on reaching your target by the way - just keep on doing what you’ve been doing

No, you continue with diet plan and portion control you are following.

If you eat what you like without resticting yourself, you will return to ba a full time diabetic.

I have noticed you are a pump user, so my reply might not apply as I am a T2 and weaned myself off metformin following my GP's advice.

Hi, unfortunately, what you have said, does not make any sense. are you on both insulin and metformin?
Can I just say people with type 1 diabetes can eventually need oral meds, because people ate without restrictions.
