[QUOTE="Alexandra100, post: 1708530, member: 429870"] If Konjac choked you, I'd be well dead! There is quite a choice of brands. I've tried two. The first was Zero noodles. I found them very odd in texture, and rather expensive, but given that they replace forbidden (to me) pasta, I was prepared to buy more. But then I discovered my great love, the Eat Water Slim range. Not everyone likes them, but to me the penne, fettucine and rice are more than acceptable. I honestly don't think I'd have known they weren't the real thing. There are other pasta shapes as well, but I haven't tried them. One 200g (drained weight) packet does me for 2 meals. I spoon out half the pasta, leaving the other half in the packet in most of the liquid, rinse well (indispensable as the fluid they are stored in smells bad) and just warm up in a heavy saucepan. They don't need any cooking - another plus! I then fold over the top of the packet, clip shut, and store in the fridge stood in a plastic container in case it leaks. Like that it will keep several days. As Holland & Barratt has them on offer at present I have invested in lots (really lots - I discovered that they offer an additional £5 off if you order enough to spend £40. So I did! I now normally eat them twice a day, so I'll be getting through them. I wouldn't advise ordering in bulk until you have tried them, though, just in case.
