Hi everyone. This week I got my Libre Free Style constant glucose monitor. I had a heart attack 6 weeks again and surgery just after, and as i am also blind was given one through local health authority. Went along to the workshop where a saleswoman from the company and a Diabetic Nurse gave a group of us an "induction" and monitor and sensor and went away with the sensor fitted into my arm. That was Tuesday. Today (Thursday) just sat at the table to scan my sensor and the reader could not pick anything up. Husband investigated and the sensor had dropped off!!!
Anyone else have this and having similar problems?

A few people have had sensors fall off. Abbot often replace them. Call your nurse and ask as you did not purchase direct.

Mine usually never just fell off. But if I hit it just right on something like a chair edge or door frame it would then pop off.

Skin Tac would help keep them on.

Some people don;t have an issue with them falling off, others do! But you should definitely get a free replacement sorted.

The first year I used the sensors I never had any problems- they all stuck to my arm like limpets, then early last year almost every single one (including replacements!) all came off, possibly due to a bad batch of adhesive... I believe Abbott are or have changed their sticky-on-stuff recently though!
