As many diabetics get I have got a case of oral thrush at the moment. Got Nilstat oral drops which contain nystatin and sucrose. As it's in the back of my throat I'll need to swallow it per instructions - One ml four times a day.
The chemist though was adamant that diabetics should not swallow it as the sucrose could raise blood sugar. I don't think such a small amount will make a huge difference and my endo said it's fine to take. Anyone else had oral thrush and how long did it take to clear up. Makes me feel generally unwell also.
Sorry can't help with the oral thrush but so long as you take the treatment as perscribed then I would think it should clear up an week or so, that is at a guess.
Yeah I have had friends in the past that have had oral thrush and it can make you feel genrally unwell.

Blood sugar up and down a bit due to my gastroparesis but overall not too bad. I'm under stress which doesn't help my immune system anyway. It all contributes I guess.
