We usually do several weeks in Thailand in winter. Unfortunately that hasn't been possible this year, but I digress.I’m looking to visit Bangkok area next year. I am a Low Carb Type 2 Diabetic taking only Empagliflozin and rest low carb eating, eat meat and fish, vegetables. Allergic to Lobster and family.
Has anyone any advice and experiences with staying and eating well there?
Depending on the time of year you are travelling, it can be mild, or very humid, or hot and of course, sometimes hot and humid.I am thinking the rise in my glucose levels in Grenada was exacerbated by the heat! I did swim about twice a day but it was a beach holiday and you could do water based activities but after last time out snorkelling I wouldn’t go with them again, long story causing me fright and I’m a good swimmer. Husband is picking best hotels as far as he can because of diets. So we’ll see, I’m to have few blood tests this week to look at what’s going on, DN thinks I might be LADA
Well as husband is shellfish allergic and I’m very allergic to lobster and its family bit of an awkward area and being low carb. I do not inject. It was more to do with heat.Depending on the time of year you are travelling, it can be mild, or very humid, or hot and of course, sometimes hot and humid.
I'm sure you make the effort to remain well hydrated, but I am always surprised how much fluid I need to take on board - especially in the first couple oif weeks.
I'm not trying to encourage you to go totally rogue, but if your trip is just a week or two, then try not to spend too much of it stressing about food.
You inject?I would go along with AndBreathe if it's only a couple of weeks , I've been a couple of times as a type 1 and never encounter a problem .

LOTS of T1s travel with the Libre or similar devices. If you search "Libre airport scanner" or such likes, I hope plenty of helpful threads might appear.Thank you. Your Libre survived the scanners? I thought it might be damaged by the X-rays.
