over active thyroid

Hyperthyroidism..I'm hoping there is someone out there with a similar problem to mine? Its making life a misery! (I am on Carbimozal and they make you feel rotten too!) Bad enough being diabetic with peripheral neuropathy but this thyroid is a real problem. I am waiting for an appointment to have the radioactive iodine. I am very worried but at 62yrs soon there doesn't seem much point in looking for another answer!(dont want surgery) I can hardly use my right arm 'cause the shoulder joint is so painful but the worst thing of all is hair loss!! I mean at this age you cant afford to lose it, can you? I am also bad tempered and quite illogical. Does anybody have any tips? I am also near to buying a packet of fags! I stopped smoking about 6-7 months ago. I had better finish because I could go on for ever with this whinge!

Sorry I have no advice as I know nothing about this, but DO NOT BUY THE FAGS.

I smoke 50 a day and can't stop. And if anyone can stop then I will take my hat off to them, as I have tried everything under the sun to stop and still can't.

So all I can say it DON'T START AGAIN.

Hopefully someone on here can give you the answers you looking for.
