Hi all.
I am type 2 and I am on Humalog Mix 25 and it always kept my sugar level readings at ore or less 7.0, I was then put on another injection that i take once a week its called Ozempic, one of the side effects is feeling sick, so i started on 0.025 for 4 weeks then 2 weeks ago it was upped to 0.050. now i take my Humalog Mix 25 in the morning 44 units, then the same in the evening, I have noticed recently that although I have a balanced meal my sugar readings have gone haywire. like today, I had Muesli with chopped Banana for breakfast, my reading was 6.1, I had Eggs on Toast for dinner. at 14:00 my blood reading was 4.3, I had a small can of coke and a slice of cake to bring my reading up, at 16:00 my reading was 10.9 at 18:30 I had grilled Salmon, 4 small boiled new potatoes, and Sprouts. 20:40 my reading was 6.2. I decided to have a small xmas pudding with some tinned custard (because i knew my blood reading would plummet again) this was at 21.00, by 22.17 my blood reading was 4.4, so i have had to take 2 glucose tablets and a small coke to bring my reading up again. I am getting worried now as it cannot be doing me any good keep having to throw glucose and coke down my neck. do you think I should lower my Insulin units from 44 down to 42, I cannot get a doctors appointment for over a week. this seems to have stared happening since the Ozempic has started getting into my system. and has anybody else had this problem. Thank You all. Health wishes.
