Ozempic pain please help

Hello I have been using OZempic and although I was shown how to use the pen and told I would be increasing the dose I know nothing else.
Its upset my tum a bit and I have headaches but nothing awful. The problem I have is extreme pain on injecting. I can only describe this as burning and I have not felt pain like this before. When having my Covid jab I told the practice nurse and she asked what I had done!
Has anyone else had this dreadfully painful side effect? Thanks for advice in anticipation. Stay safe

you need to talk to your GP, it could be allergy, usually people do not have much pain where they inject, it is important though to inject where one has a lot of fat ... I myself have allergy to ozempic; probably some of the preservatives in it, it starts like 20 minutes after injecting and stops after around 4 hours , where I feel numbness in my face spreading to different parts of my face with the feeling like when the sedation is lifting at the dentist, like itching but no swellings... I have discussed it with my GP , and we both wonder why I am not swollen and red and sore at the injecting site.. yours could maybe be a contact allergy locally, but you need to have your GP evaluating it..

I am sad I have to give up Ozempic.. but I don't want to be afraid for a day every time I inject every week from now on, afraid that the allergy will develop to a more severe level and eventually could be life threatening. Allergy is rather seldom till now with Ozempic, bur it has also only been on the market for a few years , and all side effects might also not have been sent in to the company..
 
the headace is a normal side effect initially when tirating up the amount of ozempic injected... most people stops having headace over time, when the body get udes to the semaglutide

Freema Thank you so very much for this. I am dreading injecting now as it is so very painful. I have a sore cheek the last few days and thought I may have had a bruise there but it may be the thing you describe. It is not all my face but just around my right cheekbone. Its just tender. Since reading your post I have called the surgery and I have an appointment over the phone with my GP on Monday. I have not used this forum very much as I am not very computer literate! I appreciate your time very much and also the chance to ask questions here. It is invaluable.
