I was previously on Metformin but after having an episode of DKA last year and kidney damage as a result I have been put on insulin. I have put on a lot of weight around my stomach and I’m finding that my sugar levels are difficult to control even though I’m being really careful about what I eat. I mentioned this to my doctor and she prescribed a Ozempic semaglutide injection once a week. Is anyone else on this or have any experience with it regarding side effects etc?
