And now the government has announced millions of pounds available to supply it to the overweight people! How about the diabetics that need it to control their illness and where do they think they are going to get it from?Hi Everyone
New to this site and still finding my way around. I would complete the introduction form but can't work out how to yet!
I was wondering if anyone has the same problem as me getting hold of Ozempic? My Doctor prescribed it to me about 6 months ago. I started on the 0.25 dose and then after a month went up to the 0.50 dose and again a month later onto the 1mg dose. I am so impressed with the effect it had on my Diabetes, bringing my sugar levels down considerably and reducing my Insulin intake by about 75%. My weight was reducing steadily (which had not happened for years) and I had no side effects whatsoever.
My Diabetic nurse now tells me that because of Kim Kardashian and the like it is no longer available. I am now taking Empagliflozin 10mg It is absolutely useless and does nothing for me except sends my sugar readings all over the place. I have had to double or more my Insulin intake again and the weight has all started coming back. I use a Libre 2 and now instead of nice steady readings between 5 and 8 I am getting anything between 7 and 17.
Is anyone else having the same problems or does anyone know of a pharmacy that can still supply Ozempic on prescription?

My dB nurse told me that too. I was prescribed Mounjaro on Tuesday and took my first one today.I have heard from a Diabetes nurse that they are prescribing other medication in place of Ozempic like Mounjaro
